2011 World Philatelic Exhibition New Delhi India Dates Venue Events

New Delhi, the capital of India, will host INDIPEX 2011, the World Philatelic Exhibition. Organised by India Post, Govt. of India in association with the Philatelic Congress of India, it celebrates the first official airmail flight in India between Allahabad and Naini Junction on 18th February 1911. On that day, French pilot Henri Pequet delivered 6,500 letters! 

Over 70 countries will be participating in the INDIPEX 2011 exhibition. Hotel rooms at a special tariff are available for the participants, with the Hotel rooms blocked from 11th to 18th February 2011 (both dates inclusive). Accommodation at these hotels will be offered on first-come-first-served basis.
